Dearly beloved,
This Sunday is our Annual meeting – I know, I know, everyone is so excited to attend a meeting. Meetings do tend to take up a good portion of many jobs as well as in the life of the church. There are good meetings, boring meetings and “why did we need to meet” meetings.
I will admit that there are not always my favorite part of ministry (right after writing reports)
Beyond the church constitutional requirement that we need to meet yearly to not just vote on a budget and elect the council members – it is an opportunity for us to reflect together not just about the past year, but to also pray, reflect and discuss together the mission that God has set before us.
What does it mean for us to be the Church in today’s world, particularly as it changes around us? How and where do we share the love of Jesus? Who needs to know God’s love and mercy? How do we live that in our individual lives as well as a whole church?
This is more than just another meeting – because who needs those – but a call to see how we might continue to join together in God’s mission of grace that is offered to the whole world! Please plan to attend and be part of the conversation.
peace in Christ,
Pastor Jen
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
