Dearly Beloved,
This coming Sunday, we continue to walk with Peter’s “wandering heart” as he bravely steps out of a storm-tossed boat to walk to Jesus. Fear overwhelms him and he loses this focus.
How often do we find ourselves in similar situations? Fear, anger, uncertainty, apathy and more take hold of our lives. We know that we need to keep our focus on God, but all these circumstances keep ahold of us.
In this reading, we are reminded that we all “need a little Jesus” to pull us up out of the water, to walk alongside us through those dark valleys, to offer comfort and guidance in our uncertainties.
Thanks to Doris O’Toole for sharing this video with me about “Little Jesus”: TrentTribe on Instagram: “A little Jesus goes a long ways! • • • #jesus #jesuslover #church #christianity #christianreels✨ #devotions #devotional #godsword #bible #encouragement”
These little Jesuses can be a point of focus and much like Guatemalan worry dolls, can offer us a tangible means in which to offer up our prayers as well as our fears, hopes, uncertainties and more.
There will be these little Jesuses scattered around the church building.
Share the joys and concerns of your day.
Offer to Jesus a prayer for yourself, others, the world
If you found more than one, share it with someone else who also might need a little Jesus.

Peace in Christ,
Pastor Jen
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
May you receive an abundance of Jesus’ love and grace as you go about your days!
