Dearly beloved,

Another month has almost drawn to a close; summer has officially dawned, school has ended, and summer activities and events are increasing. Many of the regular activities here at Trinity are on a break as well – such as educational/faith formation groups. Yet our mission and ministry most definitely continues – for God neither slumbers nor sleeps!

You should have received a letter recently (if you did not, please contact the church office). In it, we talked about the need to pray for the mission of Trinity, in particular the ways in which your financial support enables to continue God’s mission in the world.

We are asking people to pray first, without ceasing and deliberately for Trinity’s future, specifically in relationship to our stewardship. Along with the letter there are prayers that you are encouraged to pray daily – a different prayer for each day. We are also encouraging each of us to take a particular time of day (set a reminder) to pray, using either these prayers or your own. If you would like to make a formal commitment, we are having people sign up for particular hours during the day (contact me to let me know).

These prayers are also on our Facebook & Instagram pages (I will be re-posting them daily as a reminder).

With different kinds of schedules for the summer, remember you can still join us for worship from wherever you are – we are still live on Facebook, the service is also uploaded to YouTube and we are on the cable access channel 21 (normally 11am on Sundays, the service is a week behind)

And don’t forget Flat Jesus – take him along with you so that we can see what and where Jesus goes this summer.
In Christ’s peace and God’s blessings,
Pastor Jen
