Moravian Music Sunday
May 7th has been established as Moravian Music Sunday by the Moravian Church. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America shares Full Communion Agreement with the Moravian Church since 1999 (and in fact, they shared Pastors since their arrival here in 1742). It is fitting that, today, we celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Christian Gregor, called the “Father of Moravian Music.”

The Trinity Brass will be with us to celebrate the music of Bishop Gregor and hymns in our hymnal from the Moravian tradition.

Metro NY Synod Assembly: May 5-6 is the meeting of the Lutheran churches in the Metro NY area. We will be gathered in worship, conversation and decision making about the ways in which God is calling us to be the Church. You can read reports here:
