Banners for the Church – Looking for Quilters and More

Sunday Morning WELCA

In the early church, the stories of the Bible were taught through stained glass, tapestries, and artwork housed in places of worship. As with the early church our contemporary world is a visual world where what we see impacts our understanding of God.

For our 75th anniversary a banner was created for our sanctuary. Adding another banner would balance the walls making them symmetrical. If you are a quilter, have artistic skills, or just have some ideas on what the next banner design can be, please plan on attending the next WELCA meeting on Sunday, April 17th, after Faith Formation. Along with ideas we will need volunteers to complete this work. If we have many volunteers we can also make smaller banners as decorations during the church seasons.
